On 6 June SEICA inc. has officially inaugurated the new North American headquarters in the Ward Hill Business Park East of Haverhill, Massachusetts. At the ribbon-cutting, June 6, many Haverhill local authorities were present and have expressed their enthusiasm for the new presence of Seica Inc. in their area. “This is their new North American headquarters and their plans are to hire as they grow. And the type of jobs they are talking about are highly skilled, degreed positions and sales/management positions,” said lately William Pillsbury, the city’s economic and development director. “It bodes well for the future that companies are finding the type of skilled labor they need here in the Haverhill area,” he added. In 2003, company Vice President David Sigillo opened the North American Headquarters in Methuen, then later relocated to Salem, New Hampshire. “When Seica outgrew its Salem location, the company purchased the larger facility in Haverhill”, Sigillo said. “As our North American headquarters grows, we needed to find a place where that growth can happen and be accelerated,” he said again. To represent the Headquarter Seica Spa arrived from Italy Barbara Duvall, General Manager, and Antonio Grassino, President, who declared: “Seica was founded in Italy in 1986 and since then has become a worldwide group where it finds in its subsidiaries the best way to express its technology and constant innovation. The opening of this new headquarters of Seica Inc. is the expression of the success and importance of the American market for our company.”
“Seica Inc. is a very important reality for Seica group, has grown from a couple of employees to 23 full-time employees nationwide with other offices in Texas and Mexico. Most are highly skilled, multi-degreed engineers and sales managers”, Barbara Duvall, said.
Dave Sigillo then presented the new location, is a single building with parking for 40 cars and is located on 3.5 acres of land in a tree lined business park, with over 16,000 square feet of space on 2 floors.
The demonstration area representing approximately 2,000 square feet with a dedicated and controlled area for growing test and data regeneration services group. There, Seica Inc. provide flying probe, ICT bed of nails, functional test, semiconductor test and boundary scan testing services. In the building there are also a corporate meeting room that seats up to 40 people along with a training room for up to 15 students, along with an instrumentation calibration room and engineering offices. An additional 1000 square feet will be utilized for special projects team which is involved in the design and build of STE (specialized test equipment).
“This is great news for the city and the Ward Hill Business Park, which is now around 98 percent occupied,” Mayor James Fiorentini said. “I’m also pleased they purchased their building rather than leasing it, so we know they are truly invested here. I’m looking forward to learning more about Seica in an immediate future.”
